Since vulcanization requires heating and pressurization, and it takes a relatively long time, after a long time of vulcanization, the hardness of the vulcanized rubber will increase, so the joint part will feel harder than other parts. The strength at the joint is lower than the strength of the normal belt. Generally, when connected by mechanical means, the strength of the joint can only reach 40-50% of the strength of the belt. When the quality of the cold glue method is better, the strength of the joint can reach 60-70%, and the strength of the hot glue joint can reach 80-90%. (The joint method is correct and no quality defects).
Because the strength of the joint is relatively low, if the method of bonding is incorrect, the strength of the joint will be even lower, such as cutting, hurting the next layer of cloth, excessive polishing, insufficient lap length, insufficient number of steps, adhesive joint The rubber used has poor performance or has failed self-sulfur, excessively polished wire rope, rusted wire rope, etc., the strength of the joint will be greatly reduced, and when used, it is easy to break the joint. In addition, if the conveyor belt does not use sealing glue, or the direction of the rubber joint is wrong, the joint part is prone to cracking (surface rubber part).
